Announcing Advanced Container Networking Services for your Azure Kubernetes Service clusters

Summary

Microsoft Azure has announced Advanced Container Networking Services, a new suite of tools for Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) designed to improve observability, security, and compliance. The first feature released is Advanced Network Observability, which provides deep, pod-level insights into network traffic using Hubble metrics and eBPF technology – working with both Cilium and non-Cilium data planes. This allows users to monitor real-time performance, trace network flows, and gain comprehensive visibility into their containerized applications for better troubleshooting and security.
