OpenTelemetry Accepted Elastic's PHP Distro Donation

The OpenTelemetry community has officially accepted the donation of the OpenTelemetry PHP Distro project, which provides an "operations-first" installation model to simplify observability in restricted environments. By offering prebuilt artifacts and package support, the distro reduces deployment overhead for PHP 8.1 through 8.4 while serving as a complementary installation path to traditional Composer-based methods.
