OpenTelemetry Profiles Enters Public Alpha

OpenTelemetry Profiles has entered public Alpha, aiming to establish a unified, vendor-neutral standard for continuous production profiling alongside existing observability signals like traces, metrics, and logs. This release introduces a new data format compatible with existing tools like pprof, an eBPF-based profiler for low-overhead data collection, and integrations within the OpenTelemetry ecosystem (like the Collector). The team is now seeking community feedback and contributions to refine the standard and build production-ready backends for analyzing the collected profiling data.
