Datadog has released an open-source, AI-native SAST solution that leverages large language models to provide more accurate, context-aware vulnerability detection than traditional, rule-based tools. By employing an incremental analysis architecture to manage the high costs of LLM processing, the tool significantly outperforms traditional methods on OWASP benchmarks for critical vulnerabilities like SQL injection and XSS.
