Monitor MBTA service status and performance with Datadog

Datadog engineers built a public dashboard using their platform to track real-time data from the MBTA (Boston’s subway system), mirroring a similar project they created for New York’s MTA. They leverage the MBTA’s public data feeds—including vehicle locations, arrival times, and service alerts—to display wait times, overall system performance, and service-level indicators within Datadog. The code for their data-pulling function is available on GitHub, allowing others to create similar dashboards for their local transit systems.
