Grafana Labs acquires Logline to accelerate needle-in-the-haystack log queries

Grafana Labs has acquired Logline to accelerate "needle-in-the-haystack" queries within its Loki log management system. The acquisition introduces a new indexing approach for high-cardinality attributes, significantly reducing the volume of data scanned when searching for highly unique values like request IDs. These performance improvements are currently in private preview for Grafana Cloud Logs and are expected to reach Loki open-source users in the coming year.
