eBPF: Network Metrics - Now GA!

Summary

New Relic is launching a new eBPF-based agent to unify observability across network performance, APM, infrastructure, and logging. This agent runs directly within the Linux kernel, providing high-performance, granular network telemetry (TCP & DNS) without requiring code changes or traditional packet capture. By surfacing kernel-level insights directly within their APM tools, New Relic aims to drastically reduce “Mean Time to Innocence” and accelerate issue resolution for complex distributed systems.
