Driving open governance: What the Technical Steering Committee accomplished this year

The OpenSearch Technical Steering Committee (TSC) has modernized its governance by expanding voting rights to all active maintainers and launching new technical advisory groups for Security and Search. To bolster enterprise readiness, the committee is implementing new AI code policies and targeting full FIPS compliance by release 3.6. Additionally, the TSC has seated several new and reelected members who will serve through 2028.
