Siemens S7-1200 and S7-1500 Monitoring - CPU, Hardware, and Alarm Status in One Place

PRTG has introduced three new beta sensors that provide native diagnostics for Siemens S7-1200 and S7-1500 controllers via the S7 Web API. Unlike standard protocols like OPC UA or MQTT that focus on process data, these sensors monitor critical internal metrics including CPU status, hardware module health, and unacknowledged alarms. This enables automation and IT teams to proactively manage controller integrity and detect potential failures from a centralized dashboard.
