Interview with Presslabs

Presslabs, a managed WordPress hosting platform handling up to 2 billion pageviews monthly, transitioned to Prometheus for monitoring after struggling with the speed and maintenance of previous systems like Munin and Graphite. They found Prometheus offered significant resource savings and easier Kubernetes integration, and are now expanding its use across their infrastructure, including developing WordPress-specific metrics for the platform. While long-term storage remains a challenge, Presslabs views Prometheus as central to their future high-availability WordPress hosting and continuous improvement efforts, alongside Grafana for visualization.
