Sending SNMP Traps from One Source to Multiple Zabbix Hosts

This article details a method for efficiently monitoring a large number of devices (hundreds or thousands) with Zabbix using SNMP traps. The author leverages a central management server to gather device data via API and then uses Zabbix Low-Level Discovery to automatically create hosts. Crucially, Zabbix identifies SNMP traps by matching the host's IP address, allowing a single trap item with a well-defined REGEX to process traps from numerous devices – simplifying configuration and reducing overhead.
