Bring your own key to existing Elastic Cloud deployments

Summary

Elastic Cloud has announced the general availability of Bring Your Own Key (BYOK) for existing deployments, allowing users to add customer-managed encryption keys in-place without needing to recreate their clusters. This process utilizes a plan change mechanism to transition data to encrypted instances while maintaining deployment accessibility across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud KMS. Users should note that once implemented, the chosen key cannot be changed and previous snapshot histories will not be carried over to the new encrypted repository.
