How Agentic AI Improves Operational Resilience for SRE Teams

This article highlights how agentic AI is shifting IT operations from reactive firefighting to proactive, automated resilience. Unlike generative AI which explains problems, agentic AI resolves them by autonomously performing tasks within defined safety boundaries – categorized into four automation zones based on risk and frequency. Successful implementation relies on a “human-in-the-loop” approach with strong governance and guardrails to ensure safety, auditability, and effective scaling of automation for improved system uptime.
